When I first began this quest to create Ithicca, Witch was the first character that manifested from my thoughts onto the lined paper of my stationary. I thought to myself, “ I am going to write a book about a witch named Witch.” That idea birthed this dying world and the creatures that inhabit it. I wanted her to be labeled for her arts with an intense back story and divine purpose. I wanted this little witch to become more than justa magic dabbler, but a pillar of hope for a dying world. The Joan of Arc of Ithicca, the Mother Theresa of all the creatures that inhabit the world.

Nothing can be more moving than the story of Witch. Orphaned on the doorstep of the Light Goddess’s temple, Witch is the daughter of a priesthood of the Lunarians. She was conditioned since childhood that she was a holy child of the Tainted Blood Prophecy and that she was the one to carry the goddess spirit in her. Trained in the arts of scripture and magic till her 18th birthday, Witch undergoes a ritual to receive the goddess’s spirit to fulfill her destiny, when the Black Dragon’s army intervening. The army slaughters and burns the peaceful kingdom of the Lunarians to the ground and captures Witch for their own dark purposes.

Witch becomes traumatized by the genocide of her people and goes on a killing spree invoking her magic with dark intentions.
